Winter Sports in Bad Gastein / 冬のスポーツ体験。 [Sports]
今回は珍しく長編です。よろしくお付き合いのほどを…。
This time, it is very long weblog. If you have time, please read it!
Bad Gastein（バート・ガスタイン）滞在中、ウィンタースポーツもトリオメンバーと一緒に体験してきました。
どこに行ってもパウダースノー（まるで片栗粉のよう！）なので、冬のスポーツには最適の雪質です。
During our stay in Bad Gastein, I experienced winter sports with Trio members.
Wherever we go, we can find powder snow. (Just like starch powder!) The snow quality is good so that it is good for winter sports.

まず体験したのは、トボガンという橇（ソリ）滑り。
Bellevue Almという山地帯の高地へリフトに乗って行くことに。
At first we tried toboggan run.
We went to the alpine meadow called Bellevue Alm by ski lift.

リフトで終点に着くと、チケットと引き換えにトボガンを渡されます。

早速、スタート地点まで移動します。
We went to the starting point without loss of time. |
でもここからが、大変だった…！
日本のように少し練習スペースがあって、それから滑ることができるのかと、淡い期待を抱いていたのですが、そんな場所は無く…、いきなり滑ることに！ちなみに私は、ソリ滑り初体験です。
経験者のメンバーに話を聞こうと思っていたところ、既にスタート済み…（汗）。結局、両足を地面に付けながら走行することにしたのですが、なにぶん山の地形を利用したコースなので、かなりの急斜面。かろうじてカーブはできたものの、スピードはどんどんついていきます。カーブといってもヘアピンカーブ。うっかり突っ込むと命の保証が無さそうな崖っぷちだったりします。
But this is where it starts getting tough for me!
Toboggan run (Sledding) was first time to me. Although I thought I could practice the toboggan run at first, there was no space for practicing. After all I had to sled anyway.
When I tried to ask the member experienced how to sled this toboggan, he had been already sledding. I tried to sled putting my feet onto the ground. Though I could take a turn, I couldn't know the way of speed reduction. However, this course using geographical features, is a steep slope, so that it increased in speed. Especially when I went around a curve (the cliff edge!!), I was thrilled very much. As if I tried at the risk of my life...

とはいえ、なんとかゴール地点のリフト乗り場までやって来ました。（写真前方から滑り降りてきます。）

が…、今度は止まり方が分からない〜！
人が行き交うリフト乗り場、こんな場所で人身事故を起こしてはマズイと、確実に止まれそうなものを必死で探し…。
And then, I didn't know the way of stopping...!!
People come and go around the base station of ski lift... If I crashed into them, it would be terrible... I have to find something to stop!!

このワラの束に突っ込むことに（汗）。
おかげで無事に止まることができました…（笑）。ケガ人も無く…。やれやれ…。 (くれぐれもマネしないで下さいね！) Finally, I crushed into a line of bundles of straw. I could stop safely. I was glad that I was safe, too! (Never imitate my behavior!) |
終わった後、経験者のメンバーから「前に重心を持ってくると減速するんだよ〜（大笑）。」との弁。
でもそれって最初に言って欲しかったんですけど…!!!
After sledding, the member experienced told me "If you put your weight to ahead, you can reduce speed~".
But..., too late~!!!
気を取り直して、今度はスキーです。
まずバート・ガスタイン駅に隣接するスキーショップへと向かいました。
By the way, the next is ski.
We went to the "Ski Depot (Rental Ski Shop)" near the Bad Gastein Bahnhof (=Station).

スキー靴とスキー板、ストックの３点をレンタルし、歩いてすぐそばのゲレンデへ。ちなみに経費節約のためウェアは借りず、洋服姿のままで滑ることに…（笑）。
We rented a pair of skis, shoes, and ski poles. And we went on foot to the ski slope near the ski shop. By the way, we didn't rent skiwears to save our expenses. So we skied by our clothes... XD

気温は-7℃。天気が良かったこともあり、すっかり寒さのことは忘れておりました。
The temperature was minus seven degrees at that time. Because the weather was nice, I forgot about coldness.

リフト乗り場でスキーチケット（リフト代込）を購入し、スキーリフトで標高2230mにあるBERGSTATIONへ向かいます。
After we bought a ticket (ski lift & skiing) at the base station of ski lift, we went to the BERGSTATION (2230m) by ski lift.

目の前に広がる山々の光景は、思わず息を呑む美しさでした…。

でもここからが、大変だった…！ ←ふたたび!!
スキーは人生で４回目の私。日本のように少し練習スペースがあって、それから滑ることができるのかと、淡い期待を抱いていたのですが、そんな場所は無く…、いきなり滑ることに！なんだかソリの時と状況が一緒です。
なんとBad Gasteinではどこも中級者用と上級者用のコースしかなく（初心者用はナシ！）、どの山も地形を利用したコースなので、かなりの急斜面。たとえ中級者用といってもあなどるなかれ。カーブの度に崖がちらつくスリリングさです。
とりあえずプルークボーゲンで滑り、停止しようとしたところ、なんと止まれない!!
急斜面であるのに加え、パウダースノーであるために、滑る滑る〜。スピードも加速〜。危険を感じ、敢えて転んでみる私。すぐそばをスキー上手なちびっ子達はビュンビュンと通り過ぎて行きます。
トリオメンバーからパラレルターンを教わり、何度も転びながら（笑）、なんとか２時間のスキーを楽しみ、麓のリフト乗り場まで戻ってきました。転倒の甲斐あってか（？）、終わる頃にはなんとパラレルターンができるように！
でもスキー用具を返しにいった後、なんだか寒いな〜、と思ってお尻付近をさわってみると、履いていたデニムは雪でびしょ濡れでした。とほほ。

I had ever skied only three times. Although I thought I could practice the toboggan run at first, there was no space for practicing. After all I had to sled anyway.
I had already seen this situation. Somehow I felt this situation looks like the tobbogan's situation!?
In Bad Gastein, there are only an intermediate skiing course or an advanced skiing course. (No beginner course!) And every course of mountains using geographical features, is a steep slope. Especially when I went around a curve (the cliff edge!!), I was thrilled very much. As if I tried at the risk of my life, again...
Anyway I skied by Pflugbogen (=snowplough turn). When I tried to stop, somehow, I can't stop! Probably because of steep slopes and powder snow, I slide down automatically. And it increased in speed...
I feel danger, so I dared to fall over snow. Many kids have passed the side of me immediately. (They were skilful skiing!)
After I had learned parallel turn by trio member, I could enjoy skiing for 2 hours and returned to the base station of ski lift.
Of course, I fell down many times..., however, when the end of skiing, I could parallel turn!
I began to feel cold my body after we returned the rented gears. When I touched around my bottom, my denim jeans was drenched with snow. Oh, woe is me!
バート・ガスタイン駅前を歩いていると、山の稜線に輝く夕焼けに出会いました。なんだか一日の疲れがどっと吹き飛ぶような美しい光景でした。もちろん、その後のSPA（スパ、温泉）で本当のイミでの疲れを癒しましたけど…（笑）。

When we walked around Bad Gastein Bahnhof (=Station), we saw the evening glow which shines along the ridgeline of a mountain. Somehow this beauty scenery made me recovered from my day's fatigue. Of course, and then we finally relieved our fatigue at spa.
雪の少ない東京育ちの私にとって、雪のある光景というのは珍しいもの。
ハラハラドキドキ続きでしたが、もし次回ががあるならば、ぜひ上手く滑りたいですね。冬のスポーツが得意な人にとっては本当にオススメ場所です!
束の間の、ヨーロッパ冬のスポーツ体験を満喫した私です。
Because we have little snow in Tokyo (I'm Tokyo-bred), I'm not familiar with snow and winter sports. So it was valuable experiences for me. Although it was very thrilling, if I had chance next time, I would skillfully sled and ski! <-- My desire
I really recommend this place for a person good at winter sports!
This time, I could enjoy the winter sports of Europe for a moment.

Refreshing Cycling [Sports]
普段から自転車に乗ってあちこちに行くことが好きな私ですが、今日は初めて皇居周辺を走ってみることに。
I like to go somewhere by bicycle very much. Today, I went to the surrounding of the Imperial Palace that is well-known as jogging course. (The first time to go there by bicycle.)

好天に恵まれ、ジョギングする人たちの表情もすがすがしく、ついつい足を止めては景色をじっくりと眺めてしまいました。
Today was fine (nice) weather, so I found some people (refreshing look!) jogging around the moat. I often stopped my bike and enjoyed watching the scene.

この日はなんだかんだで２時間半ほど（25km位？）走ったので、体重が１キロ落ちました。けれどその後しっかり夕食をとったのであっと言う間に逆戻り…（笑）。とはいえこれに味を占めた私。早速、次回を計画中です。
Because I run about 2.5 hours (Approximately 25km??), I've lost some weight(-1kg). But after I had ate well at dinner, so I've reverted to my original weight...
I'm thinking next cycling right away because I could get a good experience by cycling!

2006 FIFA World Cup/3rd Place & Final [Sports]
昨日の３位決定戦は、見応え十分、とてもすがすがしいものでした。
ドイツ・カーン選手のファインセーブも見られて満足。ポルトガルは負けてしまったけれど、世界の４強に入る訳だからやはり素晴らしいなと、今までの試合を振り返ってしみじみ…。
そして今朝の決勝戦。結局PK戦にまでもつれこんだ試合展開でしたが、イタリアがばっちり決めて優勝。さすがでしたよね。それにしても、ジダン選手の『頭突き』事件は、はじめ画面上では何が起きたのかよく分からなかった…。
真相はともかく、彼にとっての最終戦。残念な気持ちが残りますね。
いずれにせよ、ド素人＆にわかファンをここまで熱くさせてくれたワールドカップは終わりました。
ドラマも多かった今回のドイツ大会。
全ての選手に健闘を称えつつ、感謝を込めて「ありがとう」と。

Last matches "Third Place" and "Finals" have finished.
I was very excited at both games except this happening...
111': Suddenly this Final took another twist as referee Horacio Elizondo brought play to a halt and marched to the other end of the field, where, after consulting with his linesman, he sent off Zidane for an off-the-ball incident in which Materazzi was butted in the chest. A sad way for the France captain to end his glorious career.

2006 FIFA World Cup/Semi-Finals [Sports]
昨日のドイツvsイタリア［０−２(０−０、延長０−２)］戦に続いて、今朝のポルトガルvsフランス［０−１］戦、正直応援に困りました…（笑）。
私は期間限定(!?)のにわかファン＆ミーハーなので、フランスはジダン選手［ミッドフィルダー１０番、なんと私と誕生日が一緒！］、ポルトガルはフィーゴ選手［フォワード７番］、イタリアはトーニ（もしくはトニ）選手［フォワード９番］、デルピエロ選手［フォワード７番］、ドイツはバラック選手［ミッドフィルダー１３番］、レーマン選手［ゴールキーパー１番］、そしてなぜか(?)クリンスマン監督…。
結局、どっちが勝っても構わない状態で、好きな選手のプレーを見てうっとりしてました。
そんな観戦の日々も残すところあと２試合。
寝不足生活とも、じきお別れです。

2006 FIFA World Cup/Quarter-Final [Sports]
ワールドカップも準々決勝が終わり、いよいよ大詰めといったところでしょうか。
昨日のドイツvsアルゼンチン（１−１ PK４−２）戦にはじまり、イタリアvsウクライナ（３−０）戦、続いてイングランドvsポルトガル（０−０ PK１−３）戦、そしてまさかの王者敗退（!?）となったブラジルvsフランス（０−１）戦。
にわかファンで且つルールだってよく分かっていないド素人の私でも、見ていてとても楽しい！
何であんなにボールが吸い付いていくのか、というよりボールが選手にくっついていくのか…（←私にはそう見えます）。スゴすぎます！！シュートのシーンも見ていて気持ち良いし、決まるとガッツポーズ（←当たり前か…）。おかげで連日寝不足気味でございます…（笑）。
いよいよ次は準決勝。好きなチームばかり並んでいるので、今度こそホントにどこを応援したらいいのか…、悩んでいます。
まだまだ眠れない日が続く…。

ブラジル戦は、早起きをして観戦。玉田選手の先制ゴールには思わず叫んでしまいました。あの「ブラジル」から点を取ったのだから！！喜びも束の間、その後のブラジル勢の猛攻は周知の通り…。
ま、負けた…。
I got up early this morning and watched a FIFA World Cup Japan VS Brazil match on the television. At first Japan scored a goal (from BRAZIL!!) , but... lost.
Japan team's FIFA has finished. OHHHH~.

昨日のクロアチア戦、前回のオーストラリア戦に引き続き、テレビ観戦してました。
チャンスがあっただけに残念…。でも失点が無くて良かった〜。川口選手は良くセーブしていたし。
それが救いです。（←と、自分に言い聞かせてます…。）
I watched a Japan VS Republic of Croatia match（FIFA World Cup）on the television last night.
Japan team had many chances but.... The match was a draw~.
最近必ず持ってくるおもちゃはなぜかサッカーボール…。
自分はドイツ原産だから意識してる…？そんなワケないか…（笑）。
She always brings to me a toy of soccer (football) ball lately.

2006 FIFA World Cup/Japan vs. Australia [Sports]
昨日のサッカーFIFAワールドカップ（ドイツ大会）日本VSオーストラリア戦、私はテレビ観戦してました。家の周りでも応援する人たちの声がよく聞こえて来て、なんだか不思議な一体感を感じることに。結果は残念でしたね…。でも頑張っている選手の姿って美しいなあ〜、としみじみ。
ところで、こういうスポーツの大会等で新しく知る国や地域の名前というのが結構あるものなんですね。
今回の試合開催地カイザースラウテルン（Kauserslautern）や参加国のトリニダード・トバゴ（Republic of Trinidad and Tobago）、まだまだ出てきそうですが一度聞くと結構耳に残る名前。音声的にパンチが効いてます…（笑）。ちょっと言いづらそうな名前なので早口言葉みたく３回づつ復唱した私。つくづく、世界って広い…。
I watched a FIFA World Cup Japan VS Australia match on the television last night. (Japan lost~!) By the way, whenever such a tournament take place, I learn the new name of the country and the area. For example..., "Kauserslautern", "Republic of Trinidad and Tobago" and so on. They are a little difficult to pronounce for me, so I tried to say 3 times like tongue twister~.
