After Solo Exhibition / 個展後の私。 [Works]

早いもので個展から１ヶ月。終わってホッと一息と言いたいところ、実は私、クラリネットの練習にいそしんでおりました。なんと、海外からクリスマスコンサートの出演オファーが来ていたからです。

It seems time passes quickly... It now has gone by one month from my solo exhibition.
At first I thought I can breathe easier, but I couldn't. Because I had an offer to appear at a Christmas concert from overseas, so that I had to practice the clarinet.

編成はクラリネットとピアノ、チェロとのトリオで、ベートーヴェンとブルッフのトリオ曲（抜粋）をメインに何曲か演奏するというもの。 It organizes a trio by piano, cello and clarinet. I will mainly play Beethoven's and Bruch's trio (selections) except some music pieces.

もうじきヨーロッパに向けて日本を発つことになるのですが、国籍の違う者同士の共演のようで、今から楽しみです。

I will leave Japan for Europe soon...
It seems the musicians are from different countries, so I'm looking forward to performing with them!

Finished! / 無事終了！ [Works]

初めての個展『スズキ マスヲ 個展 "Simple & POP"』が18日の火曜日に無事終了しました。

"Masuwo Suzuki The 1st Solo Exhibition "Simple & POP"" came to an end on last Tuesday of the 18th.

	The Scene of the Exhibition 展覧会風景 今回の展示では人物を中心に25点の作品を展示しました。
	25 works were displayed at this exhibition, many of which are portraits.

すべてが初めてづくしだったこの展覧会、本当に不安ばかりでしたが、多くの人たちの支えがあって、なんとか無事に終えることができました。

ご案内を差し上げた方ばかりでなく、インターネットを通じて見に来て下さったという人（外国の方含む）や、通りすがりの人など、100名を超える方々に作品を見て頂き、「色使いや配色が素敵」「見ていて元気が出る」「面白かった」「また開催してほしい」など、有り難いコメントを沢山いただきました。

お客様の反応を糧に今後もジャンルを限定することなく、私なりに様々な展開をしていきたいと思っておりますので、どうぞ応援をよろしくお願いいたします。

ありがとうございました！

This exhibition was all kinds of first experiences for me.
Though I worried about it at the beginning, I went well by many people's support.

More than 100 people looked at my works and gave me comments. For examples, "Those are nice in your use of color", "The colors match well", "My spirits picked up when I looked at works", "Enjoyable!", "Please hold the exhibition again some time", and so on.

I hope that I will learn a lesson from those comments and make even further growth and progress without limiting the genre.

At Last...! / ついに…！ [Works]

すっかりご無沙汰しておりました。スズキマスヲ、久々の登場です！

昨日ようやく初個展の初日を迎えました。
明後日の火曜日まで4日間、開催中です。

I apologize for my long silence. I came back here!

Now my first solo exhibition is now under way at H.A.C. GALLERY. [From yesterday to the day after tomorrow]

ギャラリーのご好意で、明日月曜日のみ19時迄オープンすることになりました。 お仕事帰りにでもお立ち寄り頂ければ幸いです。 And I have good news. I can open the gallery till 7p.m. tomorrow, by the courtesy of gallery staff. Please drop in on the way home from work.

私は4日間全てギャラリーにおりますので、ぜひ遊びにいらしてください。
みなさまとお目にかかれるのを楽しみにしております。

Trio Rinascimento Final Concert [Music]  | [Works]

トリオ リナシメント ファイナルコンサートが23日の夜、無事に終わりました。

TRIO RINASCIMENTO FINAL CONCERT finished on last Wednesday night.

早速その日の模様をリポートいたしましょう。
I'd like to report the appearance of that day.

会場は室内楽演奏にふさわしいシューボックス型のホール。
気持ちよく弾けそうな空間です。

Mitaka City Arts Center Concert Hall (625 seats) 三鷹市芸術文化センター 風のホール（625席）

This hall is suitable for the chamber music. It looks nice for performing.

15時に始まったリハーサルは、まずトリオ リナシメント委嘱作品「光雫（ひかりのしずく）」からスタート。私は音楽アドヴァイザーとして立ち会います。

特に今回は初の試みである照明効果付きでの演奏（←奏者発案による）となるため、照明担当の方と入念な打ち合わせが作曲者である久保氏立ち会いのもと繰り広げられました。私は急遽この曲でタイムキーパー担当となり、調光室へ。

照明担当の方が柔軟に対応して下さったおかげで、初の試みもうまくいったようです。

The rehearsal began at 3pm. At the beginning, they played the piece of the "Light Drops (dedicated to Trio Rinascimento / 2004)" in the presence of Mr. Kubo who is a composer. I joined the rehearsal as a music artistic adviser.

They had been checking the lighting carefully with the lighting staff because they tried to perform with the lighting effects, suggested by player, for the first time. Afterwards, I went to the lighting room because I would take charge of the timekeeper in this piece.

Flower Arrangement 舞台用のお花 今年も舞台用のお花は、出演者であるピアニストのお母様が生けて下さいました。なんと美しいこと…。 This flower was arranged by mother of the pianist who performed at this concert. Her flower arrangement was so beautiful...

また私はロビーにてグラフィック作品を１点展示しました。
And I exhibited my graphic piece at lobby.

そしていよいよ本番。
コンサートは18時45分に開演しました。

休憩時にはドリンク＆チョコレート菓子（ヴァイオリニストの母手製）が振る舞われるサービスも。

The concert began at 6:45 pm.
Drink and handmade chocolates, made by mother of the violinist who performed at this concert, were served during the intermission.

残念ながら私はホール内で演奏を聴くことができませんでしたが、会場をあとにする人たちの様子や表情から、彼らの演奏がいかに聴衆の心に響き、感動を与えてくれたのか、垣間見えた気がしました。

Regrettably, I couldn't listen to their music inside of the hall, however, I could understand their performance was so good because the audience's look was happy.

そして、終演後は謝恩パーティが催され、盛会のうちにファイナル公演は幕を閉じました。

And there was a thank-you party after the concert. The final concert passed off well.

今年の夏に発展的解散をすることになったトリオ リナシメント。

3人での演奏がもう聴けないことは残念ですが、彼らの新たな旅立ちに乾杯！今後の活躍に期待しています。

This trio is supposed to finish the activity as a group this summer.

Although we can't listen to their performance anymore, I wish their happiness and prosperity.

"Portraits" of Y and M [Works]

「Portraits」シリーズ、普段何かとお世話になっている夫婦を描きました。
生まれた年も一緒で、誕生日も一日違い(昨日と今日)の二人。
いつも笑い＆笑顔の絶えないステキなご夫婦です。

I drew a married couple, which is the latest series of "Portraits".
Their birthdays are today and yesterday, and they are the same age. It is a wonderful couple that laughter and smiling never stop.

ともあれ、誕生日おめでとう！
Anyway, Happy Birthday!!

敬意を表しつつ、お祝いにマスターを描いてみました。

My favorite bar was 20th anniversary yesterday.
This place is a live performance bar and the master plays the guitar.
So, I drew the master for 20th anniversary.

"Portraits" of Coo [Works]

東京では今日、梅雨入りしたそうです。ジメジメとした季節到来ですが、せめて気持ちだけはさわやかにいきたいところ。
そんな中、私の作品に度々登場するアイドル犬、クゥ（Coo）の7回目の誕生日がやってきました。人間で言うと44歳位で、働き盛りといったところでしょうか。ミニチュアダックスフンドのメスで、会うたびに最高のおもてなし（←喜びジャンプ＆おもちゃを持ってくる）をしてくれます。そんな姿を見るたびに癒されるワタシ…。
「Portraits」シリーズでは主に人物を描いていますが、たまには犬も…。日頃の感謝を込めて。

The rainy season has come in Tokyo. I hope to feel fresh in this season...
By the way, today is Coo's(=family's dog) birthday. She's just 7 years old.
So, I draw a "Coo", which is the latest series of "Portraits".
It may be good for me to draw dogs or animals sometimes...!?
